Batley Multi Academy Trust’s sole purpose is to provide an outstanding education for Primary and Secondary learners throughout a local family of schools.  There are five schools in the Trust – Batley Girls’ High School, Upper Batley High School, Healey Junior, Infant and Nursery School, Field Lane Junior, Infant and Nursery School and Batley Grammar School.

We are looking to appoint a Cover supervisor to work on a permanent basis for 32.5 hours per week (Monday-Thursday 8am-3pm and Friday 8am-2pm). The post will be based at Batley Girls’ High School, however, the successful candidate may be asked may be asked to work across The Trust, therefore own transport and a full clean driving license is essential. Applications for part time working hours will be welcomed.

To provide practical support for learning, educational activities, developing social skills, integration and for securing student’s physical and emotional wellbeing.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with children / young people in a school environment, with proven success in using teaching resources and supporting learners. Knowledge of the national curriculum is also essential.

Educated to A-level standard or equivalent, the successful applicant will have good organisation and communication skills and can work well in a team. The role will involve providing support and guidance to individual groups or on a whole class basis through curriculum activities.

Having QTS is desirable but not essential.

Batley Girls' High School Opportunities

We are seeking to appoint a talented Teacher of French and Spanish. The successful applicant will be student centred and a collaborative practitioner. The role has a requirement to teach French and Spanish to KS4. Experience of teaching French and Spanish to KS5 is desirable but not essential.

The role is offered on a full time basis but application will be welcomed from candidates wishing to work part time. The role is temporary until 31 August 2022 in the first instance.

We are seeking to recruit talented individuals to join our team of staff to work 1:1 with a pupil in our Early Years Foundation Stage Unit (post 2) and a pupil in Year 1 ( post 1).  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for these challenging roles. Both children have severe special educational needs, typical of children with autism. 

The posts are to commence 8 September 2021 and are for a period up to 26 July 2022 in the first instance.  The working hours are:

Post 1: Monday to Friday 08:50 am – 3:30 pm – 27.5 hours per week 

Post 2: Monday to Friday 9:00 am – 11:00 am – 10 hours per week

Experience of working with children with autism and pre verbal communication skills would be an advantage. The successful applicants must be hard working, organised and, above all, have experience of working with children with SEN. We are seeking to appoint a Behaviour Support Assistant to join our Secondary Phase staff team from September 2021. The successful candidates will work closely with the Assistant Head for Culture along with relevant teaching staff, as part of a specialist team including teachers, support staff and a range of other professionals to support the learning and welfare of pupils. The role will involve a combination of support on a one to one and small group basis either in the classroom and/or in our Student Support Centre. In addition the Behaviour Support Assistant role will involve some specific behaviour support duties during lessons daily which cover the secondary students’ staggered break and lunch times.
