Batley Multi Academy Trust’s sole purpose is to provide an outstanding education for Primary and Secondary learners throughout a local family of schools.  There are five schools in the Trust – Batley Girls’ High School, Upper Batley High School, Healey Junior, Infant and Nursery School, Field Lane Junior, Infant and Nursery School and Batley Grammar School.

We have an exciting opportunity to complete a 18 month apprenticeship. This qualification is designed for those who are already working in a business administration or business support role. The qualification accredits your existing skills and knowledge while providing opportunities to develop these further. The qualification allows employers to see that you are capable of working to a recognised level and may help you to progress within your industry. There are no specific prior requirements to taking this qualification; however, you may find it useful if you already hold a Level 2 qualification, particularly in a business administration-related discipline.

The role is 37 hours per week over 5 days, Monday – Thursday 8am – 4pm and Friday 8am – 3.30pm. The role will commence 1 November 2021.

We are seeking to appoint a Counsellor for our school. The post would suit an experienced qualified counsellor seeking to expand their counselling expertise. The role is offered on a permanent basis working 24 hours per week over 4 days 08.30-3pm Monday-Thursday; however, the successful candidate will need to be flexible with these hours to meet the needs of the School.

The successful applicants will provide a high quality confidential counselling service for students and staff in accordance with BACP guidelines within the Wellbeing Centre. The post holder must hold a recognised qualification in counselling or psychotherapy and have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to convey empathy and relate well to all members of the school and the wider community.

Grade 2 – £18,562 per annum (actual salary pro rata to hours worked)

We are seeking to appoint a cleaner for our successful, friendly school. Responsible to the Senior Caretaker, the successful applicant will be responsible for cleaning areas as required within the school which will include classrooms, offices, toilets and corridors. Duties will include sweeping, mopping, vacuum cleaning, emptying of litter bins, damp wiping and polishing. Supervision of toilets whilst in use by students may also be required.

Previous experience would is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. 

The role will comprise of 16 hours per week over 5 days, Monday- Thursday 2.45pm-6.00pm and Friday 2.30pm-5.30pm however, there may be an opportunity to work during the School day additionally. Social, Emotional, Mental Health & Academic Support Worker (SEMH)

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic SEMH & Academic Support Worker to join our Trust, based at Batley Girls’ High School. The hours of work are Monday-Friday 08.15am-3.15pm.

As part of this specialist team, SEMH & Academic Support Worker plays an important role in helping to create a stimulating, safe and structured environment in which our students can realise their potential.

The successful applicant will have previous experience of working with children/young people with SEMH needs, have excellent numeracy and literacy skills and be educated to A-Level standard (or equivalent in a relevant discipline).
